The India Energy Productivity Roadmap (2017 - 2019)

IIEC has been assigned a project to build momentum and capacity in India to improve (and ultimately double) the country’s energy productivity—i.e., the amount of economic output per unit of energy consumed. The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), which was established to implement the EC Act, is implementing national-level energy efficiency programs in the residential, municipal, building, industrial, agricultural, and commercial sectors. The project will support the BEE’s efforts in India – as well share international experience in developing national energy productivity plans and the strong collaboration between the Indian and U.S. governments – to provide a pathway to doubling India’s energy productivity in order to help meet India’s energy, climate, and economic goals. The project will carry out economic and environmental analyses to quantify the expected benefits (e.g., energy and cost savings, reduced emissions of greenhouse gases and other pollutants, and improved energy access) of achieving the goal.

Scoping Clean Air in India (2017 - 2018)

IIEC has been assigned the current project of the scoping study for the design of the environmental quality enhancement and climate change mitigation project in India initiated by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) to assist SDC to develop a project with a long term intervention strategy on corrective and preventive actions for improving the air quality and combating impacts of climate change in an affected region in India.

Mainstreaming Eco-Housing Partnership - India (2004 - 2009)

The Eco-housing partnership was launched in September 2004 in response to the unchecked and resource-intensive housing construction boom in India. This initiative implemented by IIEC with USAID and GDA support addresses the challenge of containing the ever-increasing demand for resources through interventions spanning policy and market development. The objective of the program is to scale up the use of energy and resource-efficient technologies and practices in the residential sector and support the long-term sustainability of Eco-Housing practices through strategic stakeholder partnerships.

Revision of state Action Plan on Climate Change in Chhattisgarh (2019)

The main objective of the project is to develop a revised version of the State Action Plan on Climate Change for the Chhattisgarh State in the context of alignment with the SDGs and NDCs, also to effectively integrate and mainstream women and children resilient climate change actions into the development planning. Setting up of Mumbai Energy Alliance (MEA) (2008 - 2010)

IIEC proposes to establish the Mumbai Energy Alliance (MEA) to enable massive scale-up of climate-friendly, energy efficiency implementation in the mega-city of Mumbai, India.
